Hi guys, so for those of you who want to purchase our pieces, you can find them at no. 32 Musa Yaradua street, victoria island (inside strands salon) Lagos, Nigeria. We have a beautiful lil boutique where u can find every item on the blog and loads more. Every item in our boutique is handmade with love, our collection consists of jewelry, leather clutches/purses, leather slippers, leather belts, throw pillows, etc... Colourful as the rainbow and sparkling with light, precious stones, crystals, and minerals have fascinated people since the beginning of time. Unusual and precious stones were picked up or dug out of the earth by our ancestors to be worn as ornaments or carried as amulets for protection. Throughout history, beautiful stones have been exchanged, fought over, collected, used as healing tools, or worn as exquisite jewelry, and today interests in crystals and minerals are still as popular as ever.
Precious stones/crystals are so fascinating perhaps because of their sheer diversity- they come in so many colors, shapes, and sizes; perhaps because they all come from the earth itself, miraculously formed inside its crusts, and they remind us of the mystery and beauty of our planet, Perhaps because they are rare and beautiful and seem to reach out to us with their presence. When people come in contact with gem stones/crystals, they want to touch them, hold them, and feel their shape, sensing their texture. Very often the colors of the stones themselves are the main attraction.
Here we explore a few in the world of gemstone/crystals by linking to their variation in color.
